IIM Ranchi offers a full-time, five-year comprehensive postgraduate programme called the comprehensive Programme in Management (IPM). Following the five years of study, the students will receive a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. If a student decides to leave the programme before the three-year mark, they will get a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree if they have fulfilled all programme requirements by then.
In the first four terms, the programme is intended to offer a multidisciplinary foundation by drawing on the humanities, social sciences, arts, and sciences. In five years, the program’s cross-disciplinary business core lays the groundwork and covers every aspect of business. An engaging and dynamic learning environment is provided by lectures, group projects, experiential learning, case studies, internships, and mentorships. The curriculum also includes life-skills classes that emphasise students’ overall growth as socially conscious professionals. In a top business school, students will be able to learn, develop, and acquire the skills needed for the workforce.
Curriculum of the Course
The Management Integrated Programme is a totally residential course. Over a period of three years, it is broken up into nine periods. After the fifth term, the students are required to undergo a Social Internship Immersion Programme (SIIP). The student must have a minimum 4.5 CGPA to be advanced to the MBA programme following the third year, which concludes with a capstone assessment. In the fourth and fifth years, students follow the standard MBA curriculum.
Eligibility Criteria for the Program
Applicants must have received 60% or above on both the 10th and 12th standards (or an equivalent grade) (55% for candidates from SC, ST, or PwD). The Board’s regulations would serve as the basis for calculating the percentage of marks achieved. When determining the final percentage, the aggregate marks of all the subjects included on the grade sheet will be taken into account if the relevant Board has not established any regulations regarding aggregate marks.
Only IPMAT results (awarded by IIM Indore) are accepted by IIM Ranchi. The Institute maintains the authority to alter the requirements for admission. It is recommended that interested parties keep an eye on the IIM Ranchi website for the most recent information.
Program Fee Structure (2023-2028)
For the first three years, the cost of IPM for the batch 2023–28 will be ₹15.62 lakh (not including the caution deposit, alumni fee, and mess expenses). The latter two years will be charged at the same rate as the MBA for those specific years.
