Advanced Management Programme in Business Analytics (AMPBA)
- For: Professionals with 2-15 yrs of experience
- Duration: 12 months + 3 months of Capstone Project
The schedule of the training is created to minimise the interference with personal and professional endeavours. The programme combines a technology-assisted learning platform with traditional classroom instruction. During ten months, participants will usually spend five days a month on campus for classroom instruction; ideally, this schedule will include a weekend. (Based on best effort). Classes will be held via an online learning platform with the support of technology during the month when there is no classroom connect.
AMPBA is a demanding and difficult course of study. The timetable calls for full days of instruction followed by guest lectures, projects, and group work in the evenings. It will be necessary for participants to remain on campus on those designated class days.
Curriculum of the Program
Modules for Boot Camp
Programming in Python and R is a prerequisite for AMPBA. Each student will receive access to four asynchronous Bootcamp courses, two of which will include built-in required activities and quizzes.
Basic Courses
Probability, descriptive statistics, data collecting, and the basics of analytics visualisation are all covered in the Foundation Term courses. To go on to Term 1, students must attempt all four of the Foundation Term’s courses and receive a passing mark in each.
Essential Courses
Comprehensive studies in machine learning, deep learning, forecasting, optimisation, AI, NLP, and statistics are covered in these courses.
Courses for Applications
Participants in these courses learn how to use data analytics to a variety of business domains across industries, including supply chains, pricing, retail, marketing, and finance.
Courses with Experience
The participants learn about the phases of a Data Science project and how to apply the knowledge and abilities they have gained in Core and Application courses to real-world business issues through the Foundation project and Capstone project.
Eligibility
Academic Requirements: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, technology, statistics, mathematics, science, or a closely related field with experience to programming and mathematics is required of the applicant.
Job Experience: As of the programme start date, the applicant must have at least two years of full-time job experience.
Criteria for Selection
- The Admission Committee assesses each application based on a number of factors in order to make sure that the participants chosen for the programme are well-rounded people. Every element of the application and the interview is crucial, and a variety of criteria will be taken into account when choosing the programme participants, such as:
- High calibre of pertinent work experience, such as accepting big responsibilities.
- Work expertise in the analytics field as well as dedication to and enthusiasm for the field.
- Proof of achievement in the workplace.
- Probability of gaining from the programme.
- Possibility for business leadership, experience, qualities, and mentality.
- Incentive to take part in the programme.
- Performance on an undergraduate degree.
- The interview’s performance.
Selection Process
It is mandatory for all applicants to take the ISB online admissions test.
- A request for exemption may be made by the applicant by presenting official GMAT, GRE, CAT, or NMAT test results with their application. The admissions committee will decide whether or not to provide an exemption from the online exam. Should the waiver not be approved, the candidate must show up for the online exam.
- Those who make the short list based on the results of the admissions test will be contacted for an interview.
- The interview can take place by web/Internet-based tools, video conference, teleconference, or in-person.
- There will be a rolling schedule for the shortlisting and interviewing.
Fees Structure
- Programme Fee: 10,85,000 plus GST @ 18%
- AMP Alumni Fee: INR 15,000 plus GST @ 18%*
- Refundable Security Deposit: INR 10,000
- GST rates as applicable at the time of application.
The programme fee is subject to change, and it covers: Admission Fee, Tuition Fee, Course material, Accommodation and Meals during the Residencies.
The programme fee does not cover: Travel cost to and from the campus for residencies. Participants need to carry a laptop (PC-Windows) of standard configuration for course-related work.
