A dual degree programmes offered in Europe and India is called PGDM-IB. MDI Gurgaon and ESCP Europe, which is ranked eighth in Europe in the Financial Times B-School rankings, are offering the programme together. After spending two 10-week terms at MDI Gurgaon, students spend two semesters at one of the six designated locations of ESCP’s campuses in Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Turin, Warsaw, and London. To finish the programme, they go back to Gurgaon for one more term.
The first two terms are devoted to developing analytical, integrative, and communication skills as well as basic inputs in both qualitative and quantitative domains. ESCP places a strong emphasis on providing students with an understanding of international management, with an industry internship primarily in Europe serving as a means of exposing them to in-company. The students may concurrently complete the Master in Management (MIM) programme provided by ESCP Europe, subject to specific requirements. The Financial Times has placed the MIM programme sixth in the world.

Application Process
- The MDI website, https://www.mdi.ac.in/, will have the combined online application form for MDI Gurgaon (PGDM/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB/PGDM-Business Analytics) & MDI Murshidabad (PGDM), along with the required instructions.
- The deadline for online registration is Friday, November 24, 2023, at 17:00.
- Regardless of the number of programmes they apply for, candidates must pay an online fee of Rs. 3000 (Rupees three thousand only), inclusive of 18% GST.
- Candidates who wish to apply for both the MDI-G and MDI-M must pay Rs. 3590 (Rupees only, three thousand five hundred ninety) on the internet, with 18% GST included.
- Foreign nationals, Gulf Quota, and OCI applicants for MDI Murshidabad and NRI candidates for MDI Gurgaon must pay Rs. 8496 (Rupees eight thousand four hundred ninety-six only) online. This amount includes 18% GST.
Eligibility Criteria
- In classes X and XII, at least 50% of the possible points or an equivalent CGPA.
- A bachelor’s degree (minimum four years), from any university accredited by the Ministry of HRD, AICTE, or AIU, with at least 50% of the possible points or an equivalent CGPA in any discipline1.
As of January 31, 2024, candidates for the PGDM-IB programme must have completed a Bachelor’s degree of a duration that qualifies them for admission, and they must have at least one year of work experience.
The methodology used by the university, institution, or board where the candidate earned their degree or certificate would serve as the foundation for calculating the percentage that the candidate received.
Process of Selection
Candidates will be ranked in order of preference for the GDPI process based on the information they submitted on their application form and their CAT scores. Those who make the short list will be invited to a group discussion and personal interview, which will take place at a location in one of the following cities: Bangalore, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, or Mumbai, between February and April of 2024. Other than Gurugram, the centres are provisional. The candidates who made the short list will be informed in advance if the GDPI procedure is carried out online via Zoom.
The final candidates will be chosen based on a weighted combination of work experience, social diversity, academic merit, GD & PI, and CAT-2023 scores. There is no admissions quota of any kind at MDI Gurgaon.
Procedure for Non-Resident Indians
NRI candidates may submit an application using their legitimate GMAT results. The shortlisted individuals will have personal interviews in April of 2024. The guidelines set forth by the Government of India (GOI) for the admission of certain candidate categories would be adhered to. The GOI rules will be used to determine the applicants’ standing. Using a credit/debit card or net banking, NRI applicants must make an online payment of Rs. 8496 (Rupees eight thousand four hundred ninety-six only), inclusive of 18% GST.

Reminder for PGDM-IB applicants
• If students complete their academic requirements in a single year, they are not required to pay any tuition at the ESCP Europe location. For the duration of their exchange at ESCP Europe, students must be covered by health insurance (medical costs, hospitalisation) and personal insurance (civil liability, individual accident, repatriation). However, they must also pay the visa fee, visa assistance fee, social security, travel costs, daily living costs, lodging & boarding, and purchases of books and learning materials.
• ESCP Europe will help students by giving them information regarding lodging options. Students will, however, be responsible for finalising their own arrangements. The average monthly cost of living in Europe is between 800 and 1000 euros.
