IP University Common Entrance Test – IPU CET Exam
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, popularly known as Indraprastha University or IP University was established in 1998, by the Govt. of NCT-Delhi. The main objective of IP University is to encourage and facilitate higher education for the youth with a focus on professional education like engineering, medicine, dentistry, law, etc.
IP University offers undergraduate programs like BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) with specializations in banking and insurance, computer-aided management, tour and travel management, etc. IP University has 10 University Schools of Studies and has around 34 colleges affiliated with it that offer BBA programs.
The Indraprastha or IP University offers admission to BBA Programs through an entrance test which is known as IPU CET. Let’s look at the eligibility criteria for IPU CET, Important dates, IPU CET Exam Pattern for Undergraduate Programs
IPU CET Exam Eligibility Criteria
The IPU CET Exam Eligibility criteria for BBA admission that is prescribed by IP University is as follows:
- For Open or General Category: Candidate should have passed 12th Standard with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized government body.
- For Other Category: Candidate should have passed 12th Standard with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks from a recognized government body. Other category includes SC /ST/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/ Persons with Disability.
- English as a core or elective or functional subject in 12th standard is mandatory.
- Maximum Age Limit: The candidate should be below 21 Years of age as on 1st August of the admission year.
- Students awaiting the results for class 12th are eligible to appear for IPU CET Exam.
- Nationality: There is no restriction on the nationality of a candidate for IPU CET BBA Exam 2022. Candidates from India and abroad are eligible to apply.
Note:-
i) As an aggregate of class 12th marks, best four subjects including one language and compulsory subject(s) are to be considered for the eligibility criteria.
ii) The compulsory subjects will vary for different undergraduate programs. The details of compulsory subject(s) will be notified on the university website before start of the counselling process.

IPU CET Exam Marking Scheme:
• The candidate will be awarded +4 marks for every correct answer and
• -1 for every incorrect answer.
• There is no penalty for unanswered questions.
