Candidates with strong quantitative, management, and interpersonal abilities as well as relevant corporate experience are highly valued by IIMS. Additionally, IIMS hopes to foster an inclusive and creative learning environment that is varied. Following suit, the following standards are intended to draw in and prepare students. During this stage, a final merit list will be created using the standards indicated in Table 2.
Work Experience
To verify their work experience, candidates must present the following documentation for each job they claim to have held:
i. A letter from every employer the applicant says they have experience with. The letter should include the following information: (i) The start and finish dates of each job, as well as the positions held throughout that specific employer’s employment. The application should include the start date of each position held, the pay breakdown for each position held, and a brief explanation of the responsibilities for each position held by the candidate, should they claim to have held multiple positions or titles during the period. The letter must be sent on the employer’s letterhead, bear the employer’s seal, and be properly attested by the designated signatory.
ii. The candidate should additionally submit a succinct summary of the duties performed in each position in each of the organisations where the candidate states to have worked. The Candidate must supply the PF registration number if the employer opened a provident fund (PF) account while they were employed.
Admission for female students under supernumerary seats
The Institute will hold a separate admissions procedure for female students under the supernumerary quota in accordance with its mandate to support gender diversity. The criteria outlined in Table 2 of this paper, combined with a valid CAT 2022 score, will serve as the foundation for allocating numerical seats to female students.
The Institute will handle the admissions process for international students under the supernumerary quota separately, using the following selection procedure:
Qualification standards
• A bachelor’s degree or comparable qualification from an accredited university or institution, requiring at least three years of study and at least 50% of the possible points, or an equivalent CGPA or grade a minimum of twelve years of study.
• A valid score from the last five years on the GMAT, GRE, TOEFL, or IELTS
• A student who does not possess an Indian passport or who is not an Indian citizen is considered an international student.
Selection Process:
An email invitation to a face-to-face interview will be sent to the applicant who made the short list.
• Interviews can be conducted over the phone or on the campus of IIM Sirmaur for all invited candidates.
• A wide range of factors are taken into consideration when making the final decision, such as job experience, academic accomplishment, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, performance on the required test, and performance in the personal interview.
Reservation Policy:
In accordance with Government of India guidelines and the most recent CAT advertising Eligibility and Information Bulletin, IIMS adheres to the reservation policy.
Offer Acceptance Fee, Refund, and Withdrawal
Upon obtaining an admission offer from IIMS, a candidate must accept the offer within the allotted time frame and deposit a payment of Rs. 50,000/-to hold their place in the programme within the time frame mentioned in the admission offer letter. At the time of registration, the amount so deposited will be changed in the Term Fee. But, a candidate may later decide to revoke the offer, subject to any time restrictions that may have been stated in the admission offer letter. In such instance(s), the candidate will receive their money back after a processing fee of Rs. 1,000 is deducted.
Closing Date for Registration and Admission:
The official closing date for registration and admission will be one day prior to the commencement of the induction programme for the incoming batch. This date will be used for any refunds or withdrawals by students. Should a student withdraw from the programme after the deadline specified in this document, there will be no reimbursement for the offer acceptance fee or term fee.
Additionally, a student must sign an acknowledgment stating that they realise they will not be eligible for a refund of any fees once the admissions process closes on the date specified in this paragraph.
