Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a common entrance test for all UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses offered in more than 14 central universities across India. This exam is conducted once a year. This paper is divided into two parts – A & B. Both the parts have MCQ type of questions. Candidates have to focus on scoring well to be at the top of the merit list.

CUCET gives a fair chance to each candidate to test their skills on topics like – General Awareness, General Aptitude, English, Reasoning, and Analytical Skills. All the candidates who wish to top the merit list have to be reasonably prepared.

There are 14 universities in India that take enrollments through CUCET. Following is the list:

Why CUCET 2022 Exam?

Preparing for CUCET will open up the gate of more than 10 central universities across India and this makes CUCET one of the most prestigious exams in the country. Starting from UG to PhD you can apply for any course if you are on the merit list. All the universities accepting CUCET are central universities. Even Delhi University (DU) will be accepting CUCET for its 2022 admissions. If we look at the lifestyle of students in these universities, it is very vibrant. Eligibility Criteria for CUCET 2022 Exam

CUCET is a common entrance exam for all UG, PG, and PhD courses offered by 15 central universities. Thus the eligibility criteria differ for different candidates.

  • For General category candidates, it is 50% in 12th standard for UG courses and 50% in graduation for PG courses.
  • For SC/ST candidates it is 45% in 12th standard for UG courses and 50% in graduation for PG courses.
  • For the Ph.D. course, the candidate should have completed his/her Master’s.
  • Candidates should have taken up subjects in +2 depending upon the course they opt for.
  • For Indian Citizens only.
  • For the PG course, the candidates in the final year can also apply for the exam.

What is the sectional procedure of CUCET?

After your CUCET exam, the result is announced after a month. After that, all those candidates who have secured a place on the merit list are called for a counselling session. Each university organizes its own counselling session.

This is an individual counselling process and each student is given proper time. If the candidate’s name is on the counselling session’s list, he/she will be invited by the CUCET consortium. Then, on registering on the official website, the login credentials are given to the candidate. If the candidate has been called on to offline counselling, he/she will be required to reach the University campus and attend the session.

When and where will the CUCET 2022 Application form be available?     

The Application Form for CUCET 2022 will be available from April 2022 for PG and UG courses. The application must be filled in online.

  • Candidates should register online filling in their details in the mandatory fields.
  • The CUCET Application no. and password shall be sent through SMS and Email after registration.
  • Candidates have to log in and enter their academic details.
  • They should upload their photograph and signature as specified.
  • After completion of the application form, the candidates must pay the fees.
