Overview | CMAT 2022 Exam Registration

CMAT is the abbreviation of the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) which is a National Level MBA Entrance Exam that offers admission to 1000+ AICTE approved Management Programmes i.e., MBA/PGDM. Previously, the CMAT exam was conducted by AICTE till 2018. Now, the authority for the exam falls under the jurisdiction of the National Testing Authority (NTA) constituted by the Government of India. NTA is also responsible for the IIFT Exam conduction. The number of test-takers varies from 70,000- 90,000 every year.

CMAT 2022 exam notification is delayed and is expected to be released by 15th Jan 2022. All the exam-related information will be released soon by the NTA.

Change in Exam Pattern of CMAT Exam 

Like each year, the CMAT Exam 2022 is expected to be a 3-hour Online Computer Based Exam that will contain four and five sections. Yes, a new optional section naming Innovation and Entrepreneurship consisting of 25 questions in a time duration of 30 minutes has been added as a fifth section in the CMAT Entrance Exam.

Note: Innovation & Entrepreneurship section is optional. Further details will be shared as soon as the official notification is released.

CMAT 2022 Exam Registration Fee

Eligibility Criteria for CMAT 2022 Exam Registration

Here are the detailed eligibility criteria for the CMAT 2022 Exam Registration process based on the age limit and educational qualification of the candidates:

Age Limit: There is no Minimum or Maximum Age limit for the candidates who wish to apply for the CMAT 2022 Registration.

Educational Qualification: The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 50% marks in Graduation (45% for reserved category).

Note: Candidates appearing for the Final Year of their Graduation are eligible to apply for the CMAT exam. But, at the time of admission, the candidate needs to submit proof of completion of his/her graduation degree.

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

CMAT 2022 Exam Pattern: Duration, Sectional composition & Scoring pattern

Depending on the choice of candidates, the CMAT 2022 exam paper will have two separate time durations. For candidates opting for the optional section while filling the CMAT 2022 Registration form, the duration will be of 3 hours 30 mins. While for candidates opting for only 4 sections, the time duration will be of 3 hours.

  • Due to COVID-19 Pandemic situations, the CMAT 2022 Exam notification is delayed. This can be taken as an opportunity for the candidates who (due to any circumstances) weren’t able to perform well in other Management Entrance Exams as most of those exam results will be out by that time.
