CMAT is the abbreviation of the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) which is a National Level MBA Entrance Exam that offers admission to 1000+ AICTE approved Management Programmes i.e., MBA/PGDM. Previously, the CMAT exam was conducted by AICTE till 2018. Now, the authority for the exam falls under the jurisdiction of the National Testing Authority (NTA) constituted by the Government of India. NTA is also responsible for the IIFT Exam conduction. The number of test-takers varies from 70,000- 90,000 every year.

CMAT 2022 exam notification has come on 16th February 2022 and form can be filled at https://cmat.nta.nic.in/ from 16th Feb 2022 to 17 March 2022.

Change in Exam Pattern of CMAT Exam 2022

Like each year, the CMAT Exam 2022 is a 3-hour Online Computer Based Exam that will contain 5 sections namely Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Each section will have 20 questions and each question will carry 4 marks. All in all 100 questions and max marks will be 400.

Note: Innovation & Entrepreneurship section is a new section in CMAT 2022.

Eligibility Criteria for CMAT 2022 Exam Registration

Here are the detailed eligibility criteria for the CMAT 2022 Exam Registration process based on the age limit and educational qualification of the candidates:

Age Limit: There is no Minimum or Maximum Age limit for the candidates who wish to apply for the CMAT 2022 Registration.

Educational Qualification: The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 50% marks in Graduation (45% for reserved category).

Note: Candidates appearing for the Final Year of their Graduation are eligible to apply for the CMAT exam. But, at the time of admission, the candidate needs to submit proof of completion of his/her graduation degree.

Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

CMAT 2022 Exam Pattern: Duration, Sectional composition & Scoring pattern

Depending on the choice of candidates, the CMAT 2022 exam paper will have two separate time durations. For candidates opting for the optional section while filling the CMAT 2022 Registration form, the duration will be of 3 hours 30 mins. While for candidates opting for only 4 sections, the time duration will be of 3 hours.

• Sectional Switching: Allowed (you can switch between sections while attempting the paper unlike CAT exam where Sections are fixed and with a time limit)

• Marking Scheme: +4 for each correct answer
  -1 for each incorrect answer
