The Indian Institute of Management Indore, also known as IIM-I, is a public business school situated in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is an autonomous institution. IIM Indore, the sixth institute in the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) system, was established in 1996 and, like the other IIMs, was recognised as an institute of national importance in 2017.
It became the second IIM to be granted the Triple Crown Accreditation, which is associated with the Association of MBAs (UK); The Association to Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business (USA); and EQUIS, the European Union, the three major international accreditations in management education.

IIM Indore: Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates satisfying the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management of IIM Indore.
• Age: Candidate should have been born on or after August 01, 2004 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given i.e. born on or after August 01, 1999).
• Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023 or appearing in 2024.
• Standard X/SSC or Equivalent: Candidate should have passed standard X/ SSC.
Note 1: Candidates may also apply if they match the above-mentioned eligibility requirements and are expected to graduate standard XII/HSC or equivalent by July 31, 2024. Such candidates will be given a provisional admission offer to the programme if they are chosen. When a participant registers for the programme,
The provisional admission offer for such students will be revoked if they are unable to provide standard X/SSC and standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination mark sheets, coupled with a school leaving certificate or immigration certificate.
Note 2: Regardless of the Board’s regulation, the proportion of marks earned by the candidate in Standards X and XII would be determined using the total marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet. If applicants get letter grades or grade points rather than points, the conversion of grades to a percentage of marks will follow the protocol approved by the board or competent authority, which will include an explanation of the conversion process from the source of the certificate.
Note 3: Candidates who have completed their X and/or XII standard or who are pursuing their XII standard from international schools affiliated with foreign boards, such as IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) (limited to participants in IBDP and IBCP), may also apply; however, they must submit “The IB Indian Percentage Transcript for such candidates.”
Note 4: IIM Indore retains the authority to determine the qualifying exam recognition, percentage of marks, and equivalency requirements, intake, etc.
2. Application Process
Between Wednesday, February 14, 2024, and Tuesday, March 26, 2024, eligible candidates must apply online at www.iimidr.ac.in and pay the non-refundable, non-transferable application fee.

In order to apply under the NC-OBC, SC, ST, and PwD categories, candidates must present valid caste/category certificate(s) supporting their reservation status. Similarly, candidates under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) must present a valid document proving their eligibility.
3. The Process of Selection
The selection of candidates will be based on their combined performance in the Personal Interview (PI) and Aptitude Test (AT). Any applicant who does not show up for the aptitude test, the personal interview, or both won’t be given any consideration for selection. The following is the selection procedure:
Step 1: Candidates who meet the minimal eligibility requirements should apply online using the process previously outlined in SL No. 2, or the Application Procedure.
Step 2: Candidates meeting the minimal eligibility requirements will be contacted for the Aptitude Test (AT), which will be held in 36 (tentative) cities around the nation, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh/Mohali, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad.
The following cities are included in the list: Gurugram, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Meerut, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Roorkee, Siliguri, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur, Ujjain, Varanasi, and Visakhapatnam. Nonetheless, if circumstances call for it, IIM Indore retains the authority to alter the cities or locations or to close the centre altogether. The afternoon shift, or Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, is when AT will be conducted. The following will be the AT pattern:
- The aptitude test will consist of three sections: verbal ability (multiple choice question; MCQ), quantitative ability (short answer question; SA), and quantitative ability (MCQ).
- Each question will be worth four points.
Every incorrect response will result in one negative mark, with the exception of the Quantitative Ability (SA) Section questions, which will not be negatively marked. The AT will be organised as follows:
- Candidate must answer the sections in a pre-specified order and this order will remain same for all the candidates. The above table does not indicate the final order of sections.
Step 3: In this stage, the eligible pool for Stage-4 {i.e. Personal Interview (PI)} is created considering only the candidates having positive raw scores and a minimum mark in each of the three sections of Aptitude Test. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be decided by the Admissions Committee. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be based on the categories of applicants. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are rejected at this stage.
Step 4: Sufficient number of candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI) from the eligible pool (refer Stage- 3) for each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PwD) using the merit list generated based on Aptitude Test Score (ATS) as mentioned in Table-1:

Shortlisted candidates shall appear for the Personal Interview (PI) through online/offline mode which will be intimated to the candidates by the Institute. IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview, which will be decided by Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of parameters will not be considered for the next stage of selection process i.e. Stage-5.
Step 5: Only those candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered for the final selection. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) as mentioned in Table-2 and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly adhering to the Government of India reservation norms.

4. Reservation
The Reserve Bank of India mandates that 27% of the seats be allocated to candidates from Other Backward Classes who belong to the “Non-Creamy” layer (NC-OBC), 15% to candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% to candidates from Scheduled Tribe (ST), up to 10% to candidates from Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs), and 5% to candidates with Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWD).
As defined in The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (PwD Act 2016), “person with benchmark disability” means a person with not less than forty percent (40%) of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority. “specified disability” means the disabilities as specified in the Schedule of the RPWD Act 2016.
