The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) was founded in 1981 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) in response to the increasing need for management education. Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 proclaimed NMIMS to be a deemed university in 2003. By 2030, the university aspires to become one that is respected around the world. By 2030, NMIMS aims to become a global centre of excellence, ranking among the finest in Asia and India and striving to be the greatest in the world overall.

The University has a policy in place to guarantee excellence in all of its operations and programmes. Obtaining national and international accreditation for its programmes and schools is one of the university’s top aims. NMIMS’s quest of quality is demonstrated by its accreditation by national organisations like the NBA, international organisations like SAQS, and ratings by CRISIL ICRA.

  • To be eligible for postgraduate admission at NMIMS Mumbai, students must fulfil certain requirements.
  • Provide the necessary information on the application form.
  • The candidates who receive the highest scores in their respective entrance exams will be shortlisted.
  • A psychometric test, a written analytical test, and a personal interview will be required of the shortlisted individuals.
  • The final merit list will be created using the candidate’s scores from the NMAT, previous academic records, work experience, psychometric exam, personal interview, and work assessment.

Selected candidates must pay the NMIMS course cost and submit their documentation for verification

The NMAT cutoffs for the various NMIMS campuses in 2023 will be different for Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, and Navi Mumbai. Typically, they fall between the 80 and 95 percentile. Of them, NMIMS Mumbai often has the highest cutoff.
