IIM Shillong: Fees, Eligibility, Admission, etc.

IIM SHILLONG

The Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIM Shillong or IIM-S) is a publicly funded, fully autonomous management institute located in Shillong, Meghalaya. It was the seventh Indian Institute of Management to be founded in India.

IIM Shillong, founded in 2007, offers postgraduate, doctoral, and executive management education degrees, as well as Management Development degrees (MDPs) in various management streams. Admissions to the institute are based on CAT scores, followed by group discussions and personal interviews. In addition, the institute maintains a Centre for Development of the North Eastern Region (CEDNER), which was established to provide programming relevant to the local community and society of the state and region. Eligibility for admission to a two-year full-time residential postgraduate programme in management leading to a Master of Business Administration degree: Bachelor’s degree+, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA++ (45% in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Differently Abled (DA) categories), awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Government One must have a valid CAT 2023 score that meets the IIM Shillong shortlisting requirements. The PGP (2024-26) Admission procedure document contains the specifics of the procedure and admission policy for shortlisting candidates for the next step of the process, their evaluation at that stage, and the preparation of the final merit list for admission to the Programme following that stage.

Admission to PGP (2024-26) for domestic candidates is presently being processed, and no further applications will be considered at this time. Domestic applicants who intend to apply for the Programme may take the CAT 2023, with registration beginning in August 2023. For information on CAT, please visit www.iimcat.ac.in

IIPS Admission

The sectional cutoffs for 2023 have been released by IIM Shillong, enabling students to take part in the Personal Interview (PI) phase. The minimum CAT percentile needed for students in the General/EWS category is 75. For students to be eligible for the DA and ST categories, their CAT score must be at least 50%ile.
