Students who want to pursue a career in business management after class XII can enrol in the five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). Undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) management courses are incorporated in this extensive management programme. The program’s goal is to develop exceptional young people into managers and leaders. The participant will receive an award from IIM Rohtak for the Integrated Programme in Management (BBA+MBA) upon successfully completing the demanding five-year academic programme. For the purpose of earning a master’s degree, students must continue to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 5 by the conclusion of their third year in the programme.
Pupils with a CGPA lower than 5.0 but higher than 4 will graduate with a BBA and leave the programme. Additionally, upon successfully completing the programme requirements at the end of three years, any student who voluntarily wishes to leave the programme will be awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree provided they notify the office of their intention to leave within the allotted time in the third year of the programme.
The programme is composed of 15 terms total, which are spaced out across 5 years. There are three terms in a year, each lasting roughly three months. The programme is broken up into two sections: the foundation courses are covered in the first section, and management is covered in the second.
IIM Rohtak: IPMAT Fee Structure (2024-2029)
Admission Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following criteria to apply for this programme.
- General, NC-OBC and EWS Category: Minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations, Maximum 20 years of age as of June 30, 2024
- SC, ST and PWD (DAP) Category: Minimum 55% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations, Maximum 20 years of age as of June 30, 2024
Note 1: Candidates who are expected to finish standard XII/HSC or its equivalent before the end of June 2024 are also eligible to apply, provided they fulfil the minimal requirements once the results are announced (just for the XIIth standard, please). Such candidates will be given a provisional admission offer to the programme if they are chosen. Such candidates must present their school leaving or migration certificate along with their X and XII standard mark sheets (securing minimum marks, i.e., 60% for General, EWS, and NC-OBC or 55% for SC, ST, and PWD) at the time of programme registration. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the candidate’s admission offer.
Note 2: Regardless of Board regulations, the proportion of marks earned by the candidate in Standards X and XII will be determined by adding the marks from the top five topics listed on the mark sheet or grade sheet. In the event that the candidates receive letter grades or grade points rather than marks, the conversion of grades to the percentage of marks for the top five subjects will be determined by following the protocol approved by the Board or Competent Authority, which will detail the conversion process from which the certificate was obtained.
Selection Process
Step 1: Registering Online
(i) Interested candidates who meet the aforementioned requirements for admission will complete the registration form, which is designed to assess the candidate’s aptitude for both extracurricular and academic activities.
(ii) A non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 4500/- (four thousand five hundred only) shall be paid by the qualified applicants.
Step II: The IPM Aptitude Exam (2024)
(i) The IPM Aptitude Test at IIM Rohtak will be administered to all interested candidates. It will assess each candidate’s aptitude, logical reasoning, and English language skills.
(ii) IPM AT 2024 will take place starting at 9:00 AM on May 18, 2024.
(iii) The portions of the IPM Aptitude Test shall be as follows:
Each question will receive four marks. For each incorrect response, one mark will be deducted. There will be multiple-choice questions on every exam.
(iv) Should the applicant choose to register for the Integrated Programme in Law (IPL) option in addition to the IPM AT 2024, they will also be included in the fourth part as follows:
Stage III: Online Personal Interview (PI)
The candidates who make the short list will be invited for a personal interview based on their IPM AT Score of 2024 and minimal qualifying requirements.
(ii) The tentative first week of June 2024 will see the announcement of the call for personal interviews (PI).
(iii) The candidates’ academic performance, general awareness, and communication abilities will be evaluated during their in-person interviews.
(iv) It is suggested that the interviews take place during the tentative second week of June 2024.
Stage IV: Announcement of Selection List and Offer Acceptance
(i) The composite score of the IPM AT 2024, prior academic performance, and the personal interview will be used to create the Final Merit List.
(ii) The merit list will presumably be made public by the institute by the first week of July 2024. The candidate will only be offered admission if there are seats available in each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST, & DAP) and on the basis of merit or rank list, in accordance with the government of India’s reservation regulations.
Stage V: Provisional Admission to IPM VI (Session 2024-29)
(i) Shortly after the merit list is announced, all qualified candidates will receive a provisional offer letter for admission from ipmadmission@iimrohtak.ac.in on their registered email ID. Upon getting an admission offer from IIM Rohtak (IIM-R) and accepting it within the allotted time, the candidate must submit Rs. 1,00,000/-through the institute’s admission site as the Offer Acceptance Amount (or as specified in the Offer Letter). The linked bank will send a text message and an automated receipt of the transaction to the candidate’s registered email address and mobile number.
(ii) The candidate will get a confirmation letter for provisional admission to IPM Batch VI (Session 2024–29) on his or her registered email ID upon acceptance of the admission offer and payment of OAA. The First Year Programme Fee will be deducted from the paid OAA. Such candidates must use the institute’s admission portal exclusively to make the first installment of the first year programme fee, as specified in the confirmation letter. A candidate’s seat will be forfeited if they do not pay the first installment of their first-year programme fees by the deadline indicated in their admission confirmation letter.
(iii) The institute’s website lists the fees for IPM Batch VI (Session 2024–2029).
Step VI: Registering to become a member of IPM Batch VI (Session 2024–29)
(i) The final candidates who have been chosen, deposited their OAA, and received a confirmation letter for provisional admission must physically report to the Institute campus on the designated day and time for registration. After that, their educational records and other testimonials must be physically verified in accordance with the checklist; if they registered online, their documents will be verified electronically.
(ii) The first week of August 2024 will likely mark the start of the academic year.
(iii) The candidate will receive a shared hostel room assignment. The ground floor will house the hostel rooms designated for candidates in the DAP category.
IPM Batch VI Refund Policy (Session 2024–2029)
“On or before the date of Registration” (either online or on campus, depending on the situation) is the deadline for any withdrawal of provisional admission. Following the deduction of a processing fee of Rs. 1000/- (one thousand only), the candidate will receive a refund of all money earned from the student by bank transfer to the bank account they have specified for savings. Refund requests can only be submitted via the admission site of the institute.
Automatic refunds will be issued 150–180 days after the programme registration date. Please use the institute’s admission site to submit your own (i.e., candidate’s) accurate banking information, including beneficiary name, savings bank account number, bank name, and IFSC code.
Total number of seats:
There will be 165 seats available for IPM Batch VI (Session 2024–2029); 10% of these seats will be made available to candidates from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). The Government of India’s reservation regulations will govern the offer of admission to the candidate, which will be based only on merit/rank list and the number of seats available in each category (Gen, SC, ST, NC-OBC, EWS, and DAP).
