About PGP- LSM Program
The PGP-LSM program offered by the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode represents a unique approach within MBA education. IIM K: PGP (MBA-LSM) Eligibility Criteria
Admission criteria for International Candidates
a) Educational Qualification:
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any field with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. (During registration, AIU equivalency certificates are required for degrees obtained from foreign universities).
b) An applicant must possess a valid score in one of the following tests as of the submission deadline:
i) GMAT: A minimum overall score of 560, dated within the last three years. Only scores from the latest version of the GMAT exam are accepted (scores from the GMAT Exam-Focus edition are not acceptable).
ii) GRE: At least the 60th percentile in all sections or a minimum overall score of 320, whichever is lower, dated within the last three years.
iii) CAT: An 80th percentile score (only scores from CAT 2023 will be considered).
c) The English language eligibility criteria must meet one of the following requirements:
i) TOEFL/IELTS: Score above the 70th percentile/percentage.
ii) Completion of a degree from an institution in an English-speaking country (India, UK, Canada, US, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand).
iii) A certificate from the last degree-granting institution confirming the applicant’s proficiency in English as a foreign language. This certificate can be uploaded along with other application documents.
Admission Criteria for Indian & Foreign Nationals
i) Indian Citizens
To be classified as an International Candidate for applying to PGP/PGP Finance/PGP-LSM 2024-26, an applicant must have resided outside India for at least 18 months by January 1, 2024, and must be outside India on the CAT 2023 examination date. Indian citizens residing, working, or studying abroad must submit a certificate from the Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate of their current country of residence confirming continuous residency for at least 18 months by January 1, 2024. This certificate must be included with the admission application.
ii) Non- Indian Citizens
Non-Indian citizens must possess a valid passport/travel document from a country other than India. If non-Indian citizens are in India during the Common Admission Test (CAT), they are obligated to participate in the test.
Fees
Admission Process
a) There will be two admission cycles annually with the following application periods:
Application Cycle 1: September 1, 2023, to November 30, 2023
Application Cycle 2: December 15, 2023, to March 17, 2024
b) The application fee is INR 750 (approximately 10 USD). This fee is waived for applicants registered under Study-in-India.
c) Applicants are required to participate in a virtual interview.
d) Final selection will be based on the average interview scores given by a panel of experts comprising two or more faculty members from IIM Kozhikode.
e) The admission office will notify successful candidates within one month from the respective cycle’s application deadline (December 30, 2023, or April 17, 2024).
f) Candidates must confirm their acceptance by paying 3000 USD within one month of receiving the offer.
Courses Offered
The two-year, six-term PGP-LSM programme offers extensive instruction in liberal studies and fundamental management concepts in the first year, with advanced coursework and electives offered in the second year.
In term IV (second year), learners are required to participate in a module on international and rural immersion. Term VI (second year) master’s thesis is an additional special aspect of the course.

When selecting electives, students will be able to select from one of the following three major clusters:
- Medical care, lodging, and travel
- Non-governmental organisations and social enterprises
- Interaction, Motion Pictures, and Amusement
Scholarships Provided
For every ten students, IIMK has established two scholarships offering a 25% fee waiver and one scholarship granting a 50% fee waiver. As a result, 50% of the fees for three PGP programme participants—one in PGP LSM and one in PGP Finance—would be waived. A 25% fee remission would also be available to six PGP programme participants—two in PGP LSM and two in PGP Finance.

50% of the total score on the GMAT and CAT
30% of the candidates were chosen for the programme based on how well they performed in in-person interviews with the IIMK panel.
Candidates with minimal resources will receive 20% of the total weight.
Scholarship applications and processing
The candidates will receive their offer letter from the admissions office and their scholarship application from the IR office. The completed scholarship application must be sent in with the payment for the reserved seat.
After all programme admissions are closed, the scholarship selection procedure will be finished in 15 days.
Qualifications for and distribution of Scholarship
Applications for this scholarship are only accepted from foreign nationals; NRI candidates enrolled under the supernumerary quota are not eligible.
The scholarships will be awarded in the form of fee waivers of 25% and 50%, respectively.
According to Institute policies, a student is not permitted to receive more than one scholarship or stipend in a single academic year. Should the student receive any additional funding during that same year, they must return any funds received from the Institute or any other relevant organisation.
