FAQ
What documents are required to fill the CAT application form?
You will need a passport-size photo, signature, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, graduation certificate or final year certificate, identity proof, and category or PwD certificate if applicable. Work experience certificates are needed only if you are applying as an experienced candidate.
How to convert CGPA or grades to percentage for Class 10, 12, and graduation?
If your university provides a conversion formula, use that. If not, use the standard formula: (CGPA obtained / maximum CGPA) × 100. Enter percentage up to two decimal places.
Do I need to include all subjects in percentage calculation, including additional ones?
Yes, you must include all subjects that appear on your official mark sheet. You are not allowed to exclude optional or additional subjects from the calculation.
What if my university only provides provisional graduation marks or lacks a CGPA conversion formula?
You can upload the provisional certificate and use the standard CGPA-to-percentage formula. Make sure your entry aligns with what appears in your official records.
Can I correct my CAT application if I enter wrong details?
You can only correct a few specific fields during the official correction window—typically the uploaded photograph, signature, and test city preferences. Personal and academic details cannot be changed after final submission.
What counts as valid work experience in the CAT application?
Only full-time paid work experience after graduation is considered valid. Internships, part-time jobs, and training periods like articleships are not considered.
What is the CAT 2025 registration and exam timeline?
