IIT Roorkee 2024 MBA Admission Criteria
- Graduates in any field with at least 60% of the possible points (or 55% for SC/ST/PD) or a professional credential recognised by the UGC as being comparable to a university degree.
- Students in their last year may also apply. If chosen, these applicants will be admitted provisionally as long as they meet the requirements for the qualifying degree by the deadline with a minimum percentage and CGPA or its equivalent. Based on the total scores and CGPA obtained from the qualifying degree exams, the percentage will be taken into account.
- OBC candidates are required to provide a photocopy of their category certificate, issued by a competent authority after March 31, 2024, in the format specified by the Government of India. Candidates who are SC, ST, or PD are required to present the necessary certificate from an authorised body in the format that the government has specified.
Selection Criteria
- Based on their performance in CAT 2023, candidates will be initially shortlisted before invitation letters for interviews are sent.
- IIT graduates who are qualified for JEE or JEE (Adv.) and have a CGPA of seven or higher on a ten-point scale will not be required to take the CAT and will be invited for a personal interview.
- In order to release the offer letters, a common merit list will be created based on the scores of the selection criteria. The shortlisted candidates will receive email invitation letters for interviews. The Institute’s website will also have this information.
Selection Process
Their overall performance in CAT 2024, followed by an interview and their work experience, will determine their ultimate merit for admission offers to the program.
Students in their final year of relevant undergraduate programs who have passed the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply. Candidates may be permitted to appear in the interview based on their cumulative results up to a pre-final year, provided that the percentage does not fall below the previously stated essential requirements, if the mark sheet for the final exam is not available at the time of the interview because the results have not been announced. They must, however, provide documentation that they passed the qualifying exam along with the necessary percentage or CGPA.
