Located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu, India, the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli, or IIM Trichy, is a self-governing public business school. It was established as the eleventh IIM on January 4, 2011. According to NIRF, it is the fifteenth-ranked management school. It is located around 11 km from Tiruchirappalli International Airport, on a campus spanning 175 acres. It also has an executive education satellite campus in Chennai. It provides executive, doctorate, and full-time business management programmes.

The IIMs taking part in the CAP have agreed to implement a common admissions procedure (CAP 2024 process) for PI, which will be overseen by IIM Kashipur this year. When creating the merit list, the candidate’s results from the CAP 2024 PI would be taken into account. On behalf of all participating IIMs, the coordinating institute for the CAP 2024–26 batch, IIM Kashipur, will announce the precise date for PI.
A. REQUIREMENTS FOR CUTTING DOWN APPLICANTS FOR PERSONAL INTERVIEW (PI):
The CAT percentile will be used by IIM Tiruchirappalli to create a shortlist of applicants for PI. The minimum performance required of candidates to be shortlisted for the PI is shown in the table below.

B. REQUIREMENTS FOR FINAL ADMISSION
In order to create the final merit list for admissions, the candidates’ composite scores will be calculated using the following criteria and the appropriate weights:

1. 50 percent weighting for the CAT percentile.
2. Individual Interview: 25% of the total
The bottom 20% of applicants in each category, as determined by the normalised PI scores, shall not be given consideration for admission to the PGPM 2024–2026 batch.
3. Work experience is worth 10% of the total.
The following will serve as the foundation for mark distribution:
* Subject to the candidate updating the most recent information in the CAP-2024 application process, only full-time, compensated work experience obtained after graduation and completed months through January 31, 2024, will be taken into consideration. Work experience will not be awarded for projects, internships, article ships, part-time jobs, pre-graduation work experience, etc.
When registering for the programme, a legitimate document including the date of the appointment, the date of the release, and a certificate of work experience will be required. 4. Weighted Normalised Score in the Tenth Standard: 2 percent
5. 12th Standard Normalised Score: 3 percent weighting
6. Undergraduate performance: five percent of the total weight.
The aforementioned performance will be calculated by multiplying the percentage of points earned by the discipline-specific weight, as indicated below.
Five percent of the total score will be taken into account for the overall assessment. [UG performance score = discipline weightage * percent score at UG * 0.05]
Differential weightage, as indicated below, will be applied to several fields in order to promote diversity in the batch:
- Technology / Engineering: 0.7
- Academic disciplines: 1.0 7. Arts, Science (including Pharmacy), Commerce, Economics, Management, and other fields.
- Gender Diversity: Female candidates will receive 5% of the total weight.
