Since their establishment following our independence in 1947, the Indian Institutes of Management have served as the model for management education in India. IIMs are thought to be the most esteemed and elite B-schools in India, emphasising real-world experience and critical thinking over memorization and following a traditional academic timetable. Building on the illustrious history of the IIM brand, IIM Bodh Gaya cultivates a culture and curriculum that are solely focused on producing emotionally mature leaders and socially responsible managers. A dynamic curriculum that aligns with the opinions of academics and business professionals gives students the chance to learn new skills and see the world from a variety of angles.
The faculty of the institute has published in reputable journals recognised in ABDC and Scopus, demonstrating their successes and commitment to relevant research. IIM Bodh Gaya has quickly become more well-known in the business sector because to the contributions of its students to the nation’s prestigious business associations.

IIM Bodh Gaya: Admission Process
The programme is exclusively available to inhabitants of India. It is most likely a batch size of about 300.
IIM Bodh Gaya accepts applications through the following processes: • CAT Examination
• A short list of applicants for the process of personal interviews (PIs).
• Carrying out the PI procedure.
• As stated in Section 3, creating the Merit List based on CAT 2022 performance, PI score, and Profile score.
- Criteria for Shortlisting to PI Process
The cut-off percentile marks for eligibility to PI process in the three sections and the total CAT percentile for different categories of students are given below.
There are 210 gender-neutral chairs. The next 90 seats will be gender-neutral if the 210 gender-neutral seats have the ideal number of girls in the different reservation groups. If not, a combination of gender-neutral and supernumerary girl (SNG) seats will be made available for the next 90 seats. The purpose of the supernumerary seat policy is to maintain merit as the first priority while fostering a healthy gender ratio on campus.
The number of candidates who will be summoned for the PI process will be determined by the Admission Committee of IIM Bodh Gaya based on the standards established for each category. However, the overall minimum score as well as section-wise minimum score would be decreased (raised) to obtain the needed number of candidates if it turned out that the actual number of short-listed applicants was fewer (greater) than the requisite number of candidates to be called for PI category-wise. A single admissions procedure (CAP 2023 process) for principal investigators (PIs) has been adopted by all nine IIMs (IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Jammu, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Trichy, and IIM Udaipur). This year, IIM Udaipur will oversee its implementation.
- Academic Score and Work Experience Data
Both the job experience and academic data will be extracted from the SAP 2023 and CAP 2023 assessments. It is recommended that candidates properly fill out the CAP/SAP details.
In the event that it is discovered later on that a candidate provided any falsified information or documentation, their admission will be terminated without any reimbursement.
- Criteria for Preparing the Merit List
The applicants who meet the Minimum Performance Requirement (MPR)^^ in the PI and have a score higher than or equal to it will be included in the final merit list. The candidate whose performance in PI score is below the minimum threshold will not be included in the final merit list. ^^ The Minimum Performance Requirement will be decided upon at the discretion of the IIM Bodh Gaya Admission Committee during the creation of the Merit List, taking into account the actual pool of candidates.
The criteria for preparing the final merit list will be as follows:
• CAT Score: 50%
• Personal Interview: 20%
• Profile: 30%
- Overall CAT Score (45%) and VARC score (5%) IIM Bodh Gaya will use CAT 2022 score (scaled score not the percentile) Overall CAT score 45 ∗ 𝐶𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑠 𝐶𝐴𝑇 𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑒 + (𝐹𝑢𝑙𝑙 𝐶𝐴𝑇 𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑒 − 𝐻𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝐶𝐴𝑇 𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑝𝑜𝑜𝑙) 𝐹𝑢𝑙𝑙 𝐶𝐴𝑇 𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑒 Sectional Score of VARC 5 ∗ 𝐶𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑠 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐶 𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑒 + (𝐹𝑢𝑙𝑙 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐶 𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑒 − 𝐻𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐶 𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑝𝑜𝑜𝑙) 𝐹𝑢𝑙𝑙 𝑉𝐴𝑅𝐶 𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑒
