Located in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, Krea University is a state-owned private university in India. Formal integration took place at the Institute for Financial Management and Research under the auspices of Krea University. In addition to being the birthplace of interwoven learning, Krea University is home to the School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences (SIAS) and the IFMR Graduate School of Business (IFMR GSB).
A group of experts from academia and beyond, including Sajjan Jindal, Anand Mahindra, Kapil Viswanathan, N Vaghul, R Seshasayee, Raghuram Rajan, and many more, created it in 2018. Krea University assumed control of the IFMR Graduate School of Business, which was already operational.
The Andhra Pradesh Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2018 allowed for the establishment of the institution in 2018. In Sanskrit, “Krea” signifies “an action-oriented approach.” The university employs “Interwoven Learning,” a local methodology. The formal opening day was November 18, 2018.

IFMR KREA University: Admission Process
The non-refundable application fee of INR 1,500/- is to be paid using Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking, through application portal before final submission of application form.
Selection Process
Candidates who satisfy all qualifying requirements will be ranked according to merit and invited for a personal interview. The interview schedule and notification of the shortlisted candidates will be sent by email and the application web dashboard.
Mode of Interview
Personal Interviews will be conducted Online. In-person interviews will also be conducted in the following cities:
- Chennai & Kolkata – Second week of February 2024
- Lucknow & Pune – Second week of March 2024
- Indore & Delhi – Second week of April 2024
The writing skills of applicants will be assessed using their scores on the relevant sections of the qualifying examination (CAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT/GRE/GMAT) as well as the quality of writing displayed in their application forms.

Exemption from Competitive Exams for Eligible Applicants:
IFMR GSB extends a special invitation to individuals who have attained top-ranking positions in the nation’s most esteemed educational institutions. This provision is exclusively for applicants who have successfully completed their undergraduate degrees and achieved a university rank.
Applicants who have secured positions within the top 20 ranks among universities and institutes acknowledged by NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework), as detailed in both the comprehensive rankings (https://www.nirfindia.org/2023/OverallRanking.html) and university rankings (https://www.nirfindia.org/2023/UniversityRanking.html), will not be obliged to submit competitive exam scores. However, it is essential to furnish VALID documentary evidence confirming your university ranking.

Other Details
1. Graduates of full-time degree course and or students in the final year of the undergraduate degree can apply.
2. Students from ODL (Open and Distance Learning) institutions are also eligible to apply as per the UGC policy and notification.
3. Applicants must submit valid scores in one (or more) of the competitive exams as mentioned in the eligibility criteria. From among the competitive exam scores given by the applicant, the best score will be considered subject to meeting the eligibility cutoff.
4. Work experience is not required. Fresh graduates as well as candidates with work experience are eligible. Full-time work experience up to 36 months will receive credit during the evaluation of the application.
