The Five-Year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) is designed to equip young professionals with strong managerial and decision-making skills through a cutting-edge academic approach that meets global standards. This full-time residential program spans five years and combines elements of science, social sciences, and management to provide a well-rounded education. Its core objective is to integrate management studies with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The program also offers flexibility, allowing students to exit at different stages and begin their careers as needed. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the curriculum follows a holistic and multidisciplinary approach, fostering intellectual, aesthetic, social, physical, emotional, and moral development in a comprehensive manner.

IIM Jammu IPM Admission Process
This document outlines IIM Jammu’s approach to formulating the admission list for the IPM Batch 2025-30, with an expected intake of approximately 140 students. IIM Jammu reserves the right to amend any section of this document, including criteria and cut-offs, at any point until the admission process is finalized.
Selection Process
The admission process at IIM Jammu comprises:
- The Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- Merit list preparation based on JIPMAT scores and gender diversity considerations.
JIPMAT
Admission to the IPM program will be through the Joint IPM Admission Test (JIPMAT 2025), which will be administered by the NTA on behalf of IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. IIM Jammu may also explore conducting a joint entrance exam in collaboration with other IIMs offering IPM.
IIM Jammu IPM Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed the Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2023 or 2024 or be appearing for it in 2025.
- The Standard X/SSC or equivalent examination should have been passed in 2021 or later.
- Minimum academic requirements: A candidate must have secured at least 60% marks in Standard X/SSC and Standard XII/HSC (with a relaxation to 55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
- Candidates expecting to complete Standard XII/HSC or its equivalent by July 31, 2025, are also eligible to apply.
- Students from international schools affiliated with foreign education boards such as IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) are also eligible to apply.
Category-wise Sectional Cut-off percentile
Merit List
The percentile achieved in JIPMAT 2025 will be utilized to create the merit list as outlined below.
Merit List Formation
Candidates who secure a percentile equal to or above the category-wise sectional cut-off (as specified in Section 1.3) will qualify for inclusion in the merit list.
Seat Allocation Process
- Two-thirds of the total available seats will be allocated in a gender-neutral manner based strictly on merit.
- If this gender-neutral pool includes an adequate number of female candidates across various reservation categories, the remaining one-third of the seats will also be filled using the gender-neutral approach.
- However, if the required proportion of female candidates is not met, the final one-third of seats will be distributed between Supernumerary Girls (SNG) seats and gender-neutral seats, depending on the situation.
- The introduction of supernumerary seats serves two purposes: ensuring that merit remains the primary selection criterion while also promoting a balanced gender ratio within the institute.
Tie-Breaking Criteria for Merit List
In cases where two or more candidates obtain the same overall composite score, their ranking will be determined based on the following criteria, in order of priority:
- JIPMAT Overall Score – Candidates with a higher score will be ranked higher.
- Class XII Score – A higher percentage in Class XII will result in a higher rank.
- Class X Score – A higher percentage in Class X will be ranked higher.
- VARC Section Score – A higher score in the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section will be given preference.
- QA Section Score – A higher score in the Quantitative Aptitude (QA) section will be ranked higher.
- DILR Section Score – A higher score in the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) section will be prioritized.
- Class XII Examination Year – Candidates who appeared for Class XII more recently will be ranked lower.
- Class X Examination Year – Candidates who appeared for Class X more recently will be ranked lower.
- Date of Birth – In case of a further tie, the younger candidate will be ranked lower.
