Study Schedule from April 2024 to November 2024 to Crack CAT 2024
First things first, if you have to prepare for CAT, you need to believe in yourself and have a lot of perseverance because quitting is definitely not a trait of winners.
Basically there are 3 sections in CAT exam:
- QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE (22 Questions)
- DATA INTERPRETATION & LOGICAL REASONING (20 Questions)
- VERBAL ABILITY (24 Questions)
STUDY STRATEGY FROM APRIL TO NOV FOR CAT 2024
Month 1-2 (April – May) : FOUNDATION BUILDING for CAT 24
Week 1-2: Quantitative Ability (QA)
- Focus on basic mathematical concepts: arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and number theory.
- Solve basic level problems from each topic to strengthen fundamentals.
Week 3-4: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Read newspaper articles, editorials, and quality magazines to enhance reading speed and comprehension.
- Practice paraphrasing and summarizing articles to improve understanding.
Week 5-6: Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Learn basic concepts of data interpretation and logical reasoning.
- Practice solving simple puzzles and basic data interpretation sets.

MONTH 3-4 (June-July): INTERMEDIATE LEVEL PREPARATION for CAT 24
Week 1-2: Quantitative Ability (QA)
- Dive deeper into advanced topics like logarithms, permutations, and combinations.
- Solve medium difficulty level problems to build problem-solving skills.
Week 3-4: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Focus on vocabulary building and grammar.
- Solve medium difficulty level RC passages and practice speed reading techniques.
Week 5-6: Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Work on more complex reasoning problems and DI sets.
- Practice solving different types of puzzles like arrangement puzzles, seating arrangement, etc.
REMINDER: READ BOOKS EVERYDAY
Month 5-6 (August- September): Advanced Level Preparation for CAT 24
Week 1-2: Quantitative Ability (QA)
- Focus on advanced topics like probability, functions, and progressions.
- Solve advanced level problems and practice time management.
Week 3-4: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Practice advanced-level RC passages and solve related questions.
- Work on improving grammar and vocabulary.
Week 5-6: Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Solve complex DILR sets from previous years’ CAT papers.
- Work on improving speed and accuracy in solving reasoning problems.
REMINDER: READ BOOKS EVERYDAY
Month 7-8 (October-November): Mock Tests and Revision for CAT 24
- Take full length mock tests every 3-4 days. Take our FundaCATs for complete CAT experience.
- Revise all key concepts, formula and focus on solving previous years CAT papers
- Work on time management and stress management techniques.
- Focus on revising weaker areas and practicing more mock tests.
- Ensure to take breaks and relax to maintain mental freshness for the exam.
